I’ve converted to Cycles an old model I did some years ago in Blender 2.49.
I’d like to try to animate the car with smoke coming from the hood or something like that, it could be fun to do. But has anyone an idea about how to rig the wheel that controls the car’s body?
It’s not really a problem, I need to “dive” more into the setup tools. But maybe there is a good way to rig a car.
I made a pretty simple car paint shader and I’m quite happy of the result, it’s also really fast to render, I was surprised! 🙂
Actually, I did it. I had some problems to have the true bone’s local space in the pose mode. I solved the problem doing it with multiples objects but I don’t really like to have several objects for a rig.
Maybe this is a bug. But how to know? Who has already did a rig setup using the local space in a bone constraint ? was it working well?
Rig finished 🙂
Everything is almost automatic for the suspension.
The car and the wheels are following a path.
Next step is to integrate it into a real footage.
I will try to do that during the tracking workshop in september 😉
