As always, a big thanks to you, Quentin. 🙂
I’ve just send an email to the Foundation.
Let’s hope, they like what we’re trying to do here…
I can use my Twitter profile for the Bbug ; it make sense and I’ve never used it for something else so it doesn’t feel cheap.

I think that it is a very good idea to increase the visibility of this group. Honestely, if David hadn’t talked to me on the Blender conference, then I wouldn’t have known of its existance.
As a part of the Dutch part of this community, allow me to provide a translation (to the best of my knowledge):
“Elke maand gratis trainingen en workshops te Brussel (FR/NL)”
“Een vriendenkring gewijd aan het Open Source, experimenteren en het delen van kennis.”
Now, this last sentence is translated quite freely. For example, when you say “une communauté conviviale” I understand that you mean something like “a friendly community”. However, in Dutch, I wouldn’t use ‘een vriendschappelijke gemeenschap’, so I turned it into ‘een vriendenkring’, which means as much as a bunch of friends and which is quite often used in older names of associations.
One more thing: For somebody who does not use Blender often, wouldn’t it be better to more clearly state that we share knowledge about Blender? Now, the only way to see that it is about blender is by reading the small prints of the logo. This depends obviously on the croud.
Hope this was helpfull.
PS: I Always have problems with posting. I always get the error: “body is required”.
Thank you for the Dutch translation, it’s very welcome. We’ll add it to the next batch of flyers.
Indeed, it’s so obvious for us, we missed it. Hope we don’t have too much peoples wishing to learn how to make some smoothies ;p
For the error, that’s new… Which OS/Browser are you using ?

Oh, I noticed a small mistake in the Dutch text:
“Een vriendenkring gewijd aan Open Source, experimenteren en het delen van kennis.”
So no ‘het’ before Open source.
Thanks a lot, Nick, for the translation!
I see that you changed the “FR/EN” by “FR/NL”.
The thing is, for now, none of the workshops or activities are held in dutch… We are Belgian, so it would be cool to have events happening in dutch as well, but not all of us speak the language (I don’t, for exemple: I grew up in France and came back for my studies so I never had the opportunity…).
This is why we do try to speak english on the forums and, if needed, we can translate during the workshops and trainings.
As soon as a dutch speaking person is willing to give a workshop, I’ll be glad to add “NL” on the flyers 🙂 (I wish it’s going to be soon, that mean that the community grows ! )
Also, good point: we don’t mention Blender in the flyer, so I’ll change the first sentence by “Cours et ateliers gratuits autour du logiciel Blender, chaque mois, sur Bruxelles”. Can you translate this new one? Thanks again!
I didn’t even notice the NL. It was an honest mistake, probably from thinking about translating French to dutch. Sorry for that, I totaly understand fr/en.
About the new sentence. What about:
“Elke maand gratis trainingen en workshops omtrent de software Blender te Brussel (FR/EN)”
Alternatively you could say:
“Elke maand gratis Blender 3D trainingen en workshops te Brussel (FR/EN)”
This is shorter since I don’t mention the word ‘software’, which I believe is the translation of ‘logiciel’. I added 3D to make the difference from the kitchen appliance. However, the downside is that ‘Blender 3D’ is not the offical name. The choise is up to you.
See you guys this saturday

The new version is here!
Thanks Nick! I’ll update with the new text as soon as possible (is the vertical sentence in grey OK as well?)
Thank you Quentin,
Next a beautiful A3 poster and we’re good to go. : )
I’ve asked Vincent to make an image with his car half in cycle and half in wireframe ending with the Blender UI
but you’re welcome to come with something else of course if you have other ideas.
