- 31/05: Blender bpy/bge workshop @ Variable : Blender as a presentation software
@frankiezafe and I are organizing a workshop again at Variable. Date: 31 of May. Usual hours: 10:00 to 18:00.
Subject this time is how to use Blender (and it’s game engine) as a tool for slide-based presentations.
More details about the why and how here: http://blender-brussels.github.io/articles/blender-as-presentation-software/
As you can see, we also have a new website where we keep track of activites and try to improve our communication by providing a center point for our announcements and documentations. http://blender-brussels.github.io What do you think of our logo? 😉 Any feedback always appreciated.
Hope to see you there.
Please send a mail to juego [at] requiem4tv . com if you wish to attend.
Wow, this could be very interessting. I would certainly want to learn this, Unfortunately the 31ste will not work for me. Bummer.
Do you think you can implement like animations and stuff in each slide? Perhaps even controlable?
Hello @Nick_Van_den_Broek and others.
We’ve published the code in its own repository here: https://github.com/Blender-Brussels/blender-impress
The script is working well for us. It would certainly benefit from a lot of improvements and we surely have lots of ideas to implement. But it’s there for you to test and give feedback.
Hope you like it
@collignon_david Oops. Sorry Made a mistake. Updated the wrong file. Here it is now. Have added the ‘lastmx’ property to the Camera object. Can you check that it works well now in Win7 x64 ?
If you used git to clone it, just do a:
git pull origin master
If not, just download the new version of the impress.blend https://github.com/Blender-Brussels/blender-impress/raw/master/impress.blend
