Just a quick post for the next training session on Python in February.
All information are available on the agenda but here you can ask questions, inform us whether or not you’ll come and so on.
This is a training, so basically, @juego, @frankiezafe and I will speak a lot about theory and we’ll throw a few exercises now and then to wake you up 😉
Prerequisite : Basic knowledge of the blender interface, no prerequisite in scripting
Training will be given in French and/or English depending on the attendees, start at 10:00 and end around 18:00.
Please come with your laptop with Blender 2.69+ already installed.

Live & Learn
I will do it if there is some last minute withdrawal but, sadly, I can’t guarantee anything.
If this training is a success, we may do it again (or a more advanced one in the second half of the year).
Anyway, as always, tell us what is interesting you so we can plan future activities.

Hello, I just wanted to share that this initiation in Python was realy good. As an experienced programmer in other languages, I got enough information to get started with Python.
I do believe that the ‘in Blender’ part deserved more attention, but I understand that because of the difference in background of all participants you had to go through all basics, which obviously takes a long time.
I would definitely be interested in a follow-up course where we would get more information about using python within the bpy. Perhapse also a start at writing addons for Blender, how to add or change pannels, menu’s and stuff like that.
Once a few people are into python programming in Blender, we might even organize a workshop where we try to create a decent addon in group in a single day. If anyone has an idea for an addon?
I liked the event – I learned some interesting python tricks as well as some details about python workflow in blender! I think that more advanced followup event is definitely a must have!!
Hello to everybody,
I’m sorry i couldn’t make it: sick and lot of works…
As an apology, i’ll will release the code i’m working on > a kind of realtime sever of BVH (mocap recordings) usable by one to many characters at the same time.
See you soon!
